Playing with Ross

Jack's First Race

My dad and Mary Anne came to visit last weekend. On Saturday, they went to run a race in Evansville. They had a 50 meter run for little kids and so Jack got to run in his first road race. He was very pleased with himself and his medal.

Potty Training

We'll spare you most of the details here but we've been through a couple of weeks now of potty training. We are not at all out of the woods yet but we have made some progress and we at least now can say that Jack no longer wears diapers. There were some bad days (and some really bad days) coupled with the fact that Emory started teething and crawling at the same time, but he has done pretty well the past few days. We also bribed him, of course, and he has been rewarded with a constant flow of chocolate and stickers. Yesterday he also got to go with David to pick out a new train. Here he is with his sticker chart. Now if we can just get him not to make that face every time we take his picture.

Big Week for Little E

This was a big week for Emory. He started crawling AND he sprouted his first tooth. He has reminded us all that being a baby is hard work.
