DC/Indiana

This last weekend, Emory and I went to DC to visit a friend while Jack and David went up to Indiana. Here are some pics from their adventures.

Starting early!

4th of July

We headed to the lake for the 4th after a quick stop in Kingsport that morning to see Jack and Emory's new sweet cousin, Grant. We didn't really get any pics that day except of the boys eating watermelon (a fitting 4th of July actvity!).

One!

Emory turned one on July 3rd! We went to Grannelle's house and had a sweet little party for him complete with red, white and blue cupcakes. He wasn't sure about eating the cake at first but as soon as he got a little taste of it, that was it.

Walking!

He's actually a lot better at it than this video shows but he simply refuses to perform for the camera. In the last few days he has really taken off. It's so funny to turn around and see him hurling himself toward you!

He's also started saying a few words like Mama, Dada, Jack ("Ack"), Bye-Bye and Mum Mum (one of his favorite snacks). Most recently he's also started saying "Woo-woo!" and pointing at Jack's trains. It seems as if no one in this family can escape the train obsession...

Father's Day

Jack's actual birthday was on Father's Day so he and David shared the day. After the busy weekend, we took it easy, went to the pool and grilled out. And of course continued to eat the birthday cake that will be around until Christmas.
