White Christmas

We had a really nice Christmas this year. AnnMomma and Joe were here Christmas Eve and David's brother and family came on Christmas day. Jack was 100% into Christmas this year. It was really a lot of fun to watch him. Emory, of course, was largely oblivious but he still had a good time.

First Tastes

Emory expanded his palate this weekend and dined on organic brown rice cereal mixed with milk for the first time. And so begins the mashing, blending, smearing, dropping and crushing of food!

Not loving this.

Jack thoughtfully offers up the use of chopsticks which would obviously make this easier for Emory.

Snow

We had our first snow. It was (and still is) very cold and very windy. Jack and David braved it for a few minutes to get in a little sledding. Last year, Jack hated the snow and this year he loves it. Sledding on the diaper box was his favorite. There are no pictures of Emory or I because we stayed inside in our pajamas.

He requested the sunglasses because of the blowing snow.

Christmas with Grannelle

We had an early Christmas with Grannelle this year. David had to go out of town so she came up and we did lots of fun Christmas things like make a gingerbread train, hang stockings, eat cookies and open presents.

Cookie Train

When Grannelle was here, she and Jack made a gingerbread cookie train. He didn't realize that it was all edible at first but once he did, he zeroed in on the green icing and that was it. The next morning as he was eating breakfast, he turned to look at it and said, "Look at that beautiful cookie train."

Santa

Looking a little stunned/terrified but they did it. When you tell Jack to smile, this is what he does now. It looks more like a grimace.

The Tree

We put our tree up over the weekend. We tried to decorate it as a family. Not such a great idea but we only lost one ornament so it could have been worse.

Papaw

My dad stopped in on Saturday for a quick visit on his way home from Montana.  It was great to have some time with him.

Thanksgiving

We had a good Thanksgiving. We spent it with my mom and Warren in Tennessee. My brother and family were there as well as all of Warren's kids and families. It was quite the crowd. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed the food and the time with family.
