Kentucky Dam

We went to Kentucky Dam this weekend to visit with David's family and to celebrate his great aunt's 95th birthday.  Jack loved to play with his cousins and Emory got to meet his cousin, Colby, who will be the closest to him in age. It was so nice to see everyone and get to celebrate with Rachel.

Picking A Pumpkin

Lift with your back
Never pick a pumpkin up by the stem
Got it!
We stopped to get some pumpkins today on our way to meet David for lunch. Jack picked out a green one and the best part was watching him try to carry it to the car. He finally got it figured out.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis

This has been a year of weddings and babies in our family. This last weekend, we traveled to Tennessee for my cousin's wedding. The wedding was beautiful with the most perfect wedding weather ever. Becky and Casey are just the sweetest couple and we are so happy for them.

The car ride was anything but sweet. It was fairly miserable. It should have been about six hours and was well over eight both ways, with most of it being through the middle of nowhere in Kentucky and Tennessee. We won't dwell on that though. It's time to move on...

Grannelle's House

On our way home from Casey's wedding, we stopped at Grannelle's house for some lunch and outside time before getting back into the prison that our car had become over the weekend. It was great to get some fresh air and food before resuming our torture ride.

3 Months Old

I feel like Emory's baby time is just flying by. He's three months old now and it's hard to believe. He can roll over from his tummy to his back and has rolled once from his back to his belly. He has a hilarious laugh that sounds like revving up a lawn mower. He's extremely ticklish and thinks that his brother is very, very funny. The two of them actually entertain each other for a few minutes at a time now. It's pretty cool to watch their relationship develop.
