Walking!

He's actually a lot better at it than this video shows but he simply refuses to perform for the camera. In the last few days he has really taken off. It's so funny to turn around and see him hurling himself toward you!

He's also started saying a few words like Mama, Dada, Jack ("Ack"), Bye-Bye and Mum Mum (one of his favorite snacks). Most recently he's also started saying "Woo-woo!" and pointing at Jack's trains. It seems as if no one in this family can escape the train obsession...

Father's Day

Jack's actual birthday was on Father's Day so he and David shared the day. After the busy weekend, we took it easy, went to the pool and grilled out. And of course continued to eat the birthday cake that will be around until Christmas.

Three!!!

Jack turned three this weekend! We had a great weekend with lots of family, cake and presents. Jack got a bicycle, a train table, a real tin railroad sign and lots of trains. I made the mistake of taking him to pick out his own birthday cake so we ended up with a giant ice cream cake adorned with Thomas the Train, of course. He was very pleased with how it turned out. Three is a really fun age and it's great (although a little sad) to watch him turn into a little boy.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had an nice long weekend with lots of company. My good friend, Sarah, came to visit with her family. We took the boys to pick strawberries on Saturday morning. They are not quite ready for the day labor circuit but they had a good time. On Sunday, David's brother and family came down for a night as well. The Carter family is officially ready for summer.

Flying Solo

Grannelle came to Chattanooga and picked Jack up on the last day of our trip. He went to her house (sans little brother and parents) for THREE nights. He had a great time even though our house was soooo quiet without him. We're not sure what all went on but these are the pictures they chose to share with us...
