We learned two lessons in parenting today: 1) Don't build up an event unless you are CERTAIN that it will happen 2) Ice cream fixes everything.
We planned this weekend on going to the Owensboro Pumpkin Festival which was supposed to feature the Bubble Truck. Jack loves trucks and he loves bubbles. He was SO excited. We had even been looking at pictures of the truck online, which is basically a tricked out pick up that blows bubbles all over the place. We get to the festival only to find out that the stupid Bubble Truck broke down in Louisville. Total heartbreak. So we ended up at the Wonder Whip for banana splits. Instant tear stopper.

This is priceless, and I am chuckling because I KNOW the heartbreak of disappointment for a toddler and yes ice cream fixes everything. Love this.
